The person behind this site
Hey, I’m Amit.
Delhi, India
I first visited Rishikesh in 2018 for a weekend rafting trip with friends. We had no real plan — just a car, a booking at some random camp, and zero expectations. By the time the rapids spat us out near Nimi Beach, I knew I’d be back.
And I kept going back. Delhi to Rishikesh is about six hours if the Roorkee highway cooperates, which makes it dangerously easy to do on a long weekend. Over 8+ trips across every season — monsoon swells, winter fog, the post-Diwali calm, blazing June heat — I’ve built up the kind of knowledge that only comes from repeated visits.
Which cafes have actually good coffee. Which “adventure operators” you should avoid. Why Shivpuri is overrated for camping but perfect for rafting. How to get a yoga class that isn’t a tourist trap. The Beatles Ashram at golden hour, with nobody around.
I built Rishikesh Itinerary because every travel blog I found was either a rewritten press release or an obvious AI dump. None of them had actually been there recently. I wanted a resource where every cafe is reviewed from a real visit, every rapid is named from memory, and every price is listed because I paid it.
Every cafe reviewed, every rapid named, every price listed — from personal visits.
This isn’t a content farm. No sponsored posts, no affiliate link games. Just opinionated, tested guides for a place I genuinely love returning to.
